An ESD, anti-static coating system protects the floor safely against electrical static charge that accumulates from a person’s movement across the polymer floor.  ESD flooring helps to greatly reduce or eliminate the potential of accidental electrostatic discharge, which can damage sensitive electronic components during manufacture.

Electrical charges can have dangerous outcomes in static sensitive environments such as those in Electronics, Chemical, even Pharmaceutical and Healthcare facilities. Anti-static flooring from Surface Solutions safeguards both sensitive electronic equipment and personnel from an electrostatic discharge (ESD). Anti-static flooring typically contains a conductive material that accumulates static electricity to drain or dissipate any potential static discharge and needs to be grounded or earthed.

All ESD coatings are formulated to eliminate static build-up by providing a ground path. The ability to be grounded is achieved by adding either conductive fibers or carbon and graphite particulate. The fibers and particulate enable us to create an electrical bridge through a material that otherwise, is an insulating static generator.

Leveling the substrate

(Epoxy primer, Intermediate epoxy coating, Epoxy leveling):

The removal of degraded layers by mechanical tools to reduce wave level. This layer fills the porosity at the surface and, in addition to creating a smooth polymeric surface, makes the mechanical bonding of the floorboard to the substrate. Intermediate epoxy coating layer is applying as a leveling agent, in order to prevent moisture penetration, as well as increase the thickness and mechanical properties. This layer, in addition to the above properties, provides maximum leveling and creates the substrate for the final coating.

Conductive metal system:

The conductive metallic conductor, according to the request, can be Copper or Aluminum.

Anti-Static primer:

this system provides a flat surface in terms of thickness and electrical conductivity on a conductive metal network. It can transmit static electricity produced on the surface from an anti-static to a conductive metal network.

Anti-Static topcoat:

The task of the final anti-static layer is to provide a perfectly smooth coating in terms of thickness and electrical resistance on the three previous layers. And also static electricity transmitted from the surface to the underlying layers.
